I've spoken to these guys before and I wasn't that impressed; why, it all sounds like an appliance-based Stacker (remember the software-based disk compression for your PC). But they didn't tell me about their killer feature, a little meter on the side of the appliance showing the current compression ratio. Now if they could tie that to how much I pay per terabyte, I could have a real-time ticker showing how much their device has saved!!
And that would give me a real metric to give to the boss! You see simple things please simple folk!!!
